“Ozgu Turgut was born in Kayseri. Dr. Turgut holds a BSc. and MSc. degree from the Industrial Engineering Departments of Bosporus and Yeditepe University (Turkey) respectively; and a Ph.D. from the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department of Wayne State University (USA). She received the right to study at Bosporus University by entering the first 150 students during the national exam. Previously, she worked as a postdoc associate at MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics for more than a year and at the Norwegian University of Technology & Science (NTNU) for three years. She has industrial experience working as an applied research scientist at a start-up (Llamasoft, Inc. Ann Arbor (MI-USA)) for more than three years. She has participated in several supply chain modeling and customized decision support projects with the industry during this time. Algorithm design and digital decision support systems are still her main research areas which have been extended with sustainability applications in recent years. She has teaching experience at Bahcesehir, Yeditepe, Uskudar and Wayne State Universities; and holds an MIT Kauffman Teaching Certificate.
